Penelope

Synopsis

Born with a pig's snout due to an age-old family curse, Penelope has lived her entire life in the isolated mansion of her aristocratic parents. The only way to break the hex, apparently, is for her to find true love and marry. Matchmakers try their best, but each suitor flees in terror upon seeing her unique facial feature, leaving Penelope increasingly disheartened. Years pass until a desperate paparazzi photographer, hoping for an exclusive shot, sends a charming but down-on-his-luck gambler named Max to infiltrate her world. What begins as a cynical ploy soon evolves, challenging societal norms and Penelope's own self-perception, as she navigates a world that values appearance above all else.
