Can a past mistake ever truly be buried? Michael Chambers returns to his Texas hometown, hoping to mend fractured relationships and escape mounting debts. Drawn back into the orbit of his estranged wife, Rachel, he finds himself ensnared in a web of clandestine affairs and a high-stakes, illicit venture. As the tension mounts and loyalty becomes a fluid concept, Michael discovers that some decisions have consequences far beyond what he could ever imagine in Steven Soderbergh's crime thriller, The Underneath.
