Synopsis

The dream of a peaceful, self-sufficient life in the Galician countryside turns into a waking nightmare for Vincent and Olga, a French couple seeking refuge from the modern world in *As bestas*. Their carefully cultivated existence, focused on restoring abandoned homes and living off the land, increasingly clashes with the deep-seated traditions and resentments of their local neighbours. When a proposed wind farm divides the community, the couple's principled stand against it ignites a simmering hostility, transforming their idyllic retreat into a pressure cooker of suspicion and menace. This escalating tension threatens to consume their very sense of safety, exposing the primal fears that lurk beneath the surface of rural tranquility.
