Synopsis

Charlie Chaplin’s timeless masterpiece, *City Lights*, follows the misadventures of the Tramp, a penniless vagabond whose heart of gold shines brighter than the city he roams. He falls deeply in love with a blind flower girl, who, due to a comical misunderstanding, believes him to be a wealthy gentleman. Driven by his affection, the Tramp embarks on a series of increasingly desperate attempts to secure funds for an operation that could restore her sight. His path crosses with an eccentric millionaire prone to fits of drunken generosity and sober amnesia, leading to both hilarious and heartbreaking complications.
