House of Wax

Synopsis

The year is 1902 in New York City, and Professor Henry Jarrod's House of Wax museum is his life's work. When a fiery business dispute with his partner, Matthew Burke, leaves Jarrod gravely injured and his wax figures destroyed, the professor seemingly perishes in the blaze. However, Jarrod mysteriously reappears some time later, opening a new, even more macabre wax museum. The figures in his updated collection are unsettlingly lifelike, and as bodies begin to disappear from the city morgue, suspicion mounts. Soon, the eerie beauty of the new House of Wax takes a dark turn, leading a young woman named Sue Allen to uncover a horrifying truth about the museum and its enigmatic creator.
