Interview with the Vampire

Synopsis

What if eternal life offered no escape from grief, only an amplification of it? In 18th-century New Orleans, a desolate planter named Louis wallows in the wake of immense personal tragedy, his will to live extinguished. Into this profound despair steps Lestat de Lioncourt, an aristocratic vampire who offers not merely an escape from mortality, but an invitation into an endless, blood-soaked existence. Accepting the dark gift, Louis is transformed, inheriting immense power alongside an insatiable thirst. However, the immortal life Lestat envisions—one of predatory freedom and detached observation—clashes sharply with Louis’s persistent humanity and moral struggle, setting them on a centuries-long journey of companionship, conflict, and a desperate search for meaning in an unforgiving world.
