Synopsis

Imagine a world where danger is obsolete, emotions are shielded, and every interaction is a controlled performance. That’s the reality for most of humanity in *Surrogates*, where people experience life through perfect robotic avatars from the safety of their homes. When a mysterious weapon begins destroying these surrogates—and, shockingly, their human operators—FBI agents Greer and Peters must venture into the unprecedented chaos of the real world. They navigate a society struggling with its newfound vulnerability, racing to uncover who is behind the attacks and why. The investigation pushes them to confront profound questions about identity, connection, and what it truly means to be human in a world where perfection comes at a cost.
