Synopsis

In late 19th-century India, two roguish British sergeants, Daniel Dravot and Peachy Carnehan, hatch a scheme to become kings of Kafiristan, a remote land untouched by modern civilization. The Man Who Would Be King chronicles their audacious journey into uncharted territory, facing treacherous mountains and wary tribesmen, armed only with their wits, military experience, and a burning desire for power.
