The Purple Rose of Cairo

Synopsis

Step into 1930s America, a world of hardship where Cecilia, a downtrodden waitress, finds solace only in the flickering light of the cinema. Her favorite escape is *The Purple Rose of Cairo*, a glamorous romantic adventure. But fantasy blurs with reality when Tom Baxter, the film’s dashing lead, steps right off the screen and into her life, leaving the other characters in cinematic limbo. Suddenly, Cecilia’s drab existence is anything but ordinary.
