Synopsis

Four small-time crooks, accustomed to life on the fringes of society, find their latest heist has gone spectacularly wrong. With a considerable sum of stolen money and a gravely wounded comrade, their escape vehicle explodes in the desolate Danish countryside, stranding them far from civilization. They stumble upon a dilapidated, isolated inn, initially intending to lay low until their friend recovers. However, as days turn into weeks, the rustic charm and tranquil surroundings begin to work an unexpected magic on the group. The quietude of rural life and the budding sense of camaraderie challenge their ingrained criminal instincts, prompting them to confront the possibility of a different future. *Blinkende Lygter* explores whether these hardened individuals can truly escape their past, or if the allure of a simple life will be just another fleeting fantasy.
