Il diavolo e l'acquasanta

Synopsis

Beneath the surface of Il diavolo e l'acquasanta, a former football star grapples with an unexpected twist of fate that derails his once-promising career. Now relegated to a life of petty schemes and an almost comical desperation, his days are a vibrant blend of the absurd and the poignant. He clings to the increasingly distant dream of returning to the pitch, convinced that a radical reinvention of himself is the only path back to glory. The film follows his bumbling, yet earnest, attempts to navigate a world that seems perpetually poised between divine intervention and devilish misfortune, all set against a backdrop of Italian charm and chaotic ambition.
