Synopsis

The year is 1988, and a seemingly innocent 1957 sci-fi B-movie, "The Planet Smashers," has become the unlikely conduit for an alien invasion. What begins as bizarre behavior among locals quickly escalates to deadly mind control, turning neighbor against neighbor in a horrifying epidemic of violence. Two video store clerks, immersed in the world of cinema, stumble upon the truth. With humanity teetering on the brink of self-destruction, they must decipher the cryptic clues within the vintage film and somehow sever the extraterrestrial's remote control over Earth before the credits roll on civilization itself.
