The locals harbor a deep-seated fear rooted in the dark deeds of his ancestor, the sorcerer Joseph Curwen, who cursed the town before his fiery demise a century prior. As Ward settles into his new home, a sinister influence begins to take hold, blurring the lines of his identity and reawakening the ancient evil. The Haunted Palace descends into a nightmare as Ward grapples with a possession that threatens to unleash his ancestor's vengeful spirit upon the terrified populace.
