Synopsis

The scales of justice can be a precarious balance, especially when a man's life hangs in the balance and the truth is shrouded in deceit. For Leonard Vole, accused of the brutal murder of a wealthy widow, his only hope lies in the shrewd legal maneuvering of the brilliant Sir Wilfrid Robarts. Despite his doctor's stern warnings about his health, Robarts is drawn back to the courtroom by the sheer complexity and intrigue of Vole's case. However, the path to acquittal in *Witness for the Prosecution* takes an unforeseen, shocking turn when Vole's own wife, Christine, opts to testify not for his defense, but for the prosecution.
