7th Heaven

Synopsis

Can love truly flourish amidst the squalor of Paris's backstreets? In the poignant 1927 silent classic *7th Heaven*, Chico, a resilient sewer worker, encounters Diane, a young woman brutalized by her cruel sister. He offers her refuge, pretending to be her husband to protect her from arrest. What begins as a convenient charade slowly blossoms into genuine affection, transforming their drab attic dwelling into a sanctuary. Just as their fragile happiness takes root, the specter of war looms, threatening to tear apart the tender bond they have so carefully built in a world determined to keep them apart.
