Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl

Synopsis

Life in 1933 Berlin shifts dramatically for nine-year-old Anna Kemper as the Nazi threat intensifies. With her renowned Jewish journalist father, Arthur, forced to flee to Zurich, Anna, her older brother Max, and their mother Dorothea soon follow, embarking on a turbulent journey across Europe. This poignant adaptation of Judith Kerr's beloved novel, "Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl" ("When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit"), chronicles Anna’s childhood uprooted, grappling with loss—including her cherished pink rabbit—and adapting to an uncertain future marked by displacement and resilience.
