Synopsis

Guy Trilby, a man in his forties, uncovers an obscure loophole that allows him to compete in the National Spelling Bee, much to the dismay of the genuine child contestants. With a mysterious agenda driving his participation, Bad Words follows Guy as he outsmarts children, confounds organizers, and unexpectedly forms a bond with a young, perceptive competitor.
