Far from Heaven

Synopsis

In 1950s Connecticut, Cathy Whitaker embodies the idyllic housewife, presiding over a seemingly perfect life with her executive husband, Frank. Their meticulously curated world, however, shatters when Cathy stumbles upon a devastating secret that exposes the carefully constructed facade of their marriage. As she grapples with the betrayal and the unspoken truths that now haunt their opulent home, Cathy finds herself increasingly isolated. Unexpectedly, she forms a burgeoning, platonic friendship with Raymond, her family's thoughtful and respectful African American gardener. This innocent connection, however, ignites a firestorm of judgment and ostracization in their conformist society, forcing Cathy to confront the deeply entrenched prejudices of her era and the true cost of societal expectations in *Far from Heaven*.
