Glory

Synopsis

What does it take to challenge an army's deeply ingrained prejudices and prove one's worth on the battlefield? Glory vividly brings to life the untold story of the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment, one of the Union Army's first all-Black units during the American Civil War. Under the leadership of Colonel Robert Gould Shaw, a young, idealistic officer, these brave men, many of them formerly enslaved, confront systemic racism within their own ranks even as they prepare to face the Confederate forces. Their journey explores themes of freedom, sacrifice, and the relentless fight for dignity amidst the horrors of war.
